To increase awareness of human trafficking in Canada, including in our future medical practice and day-to-day lives!

The Canadian Alliance of Medical Students Against Human Trafficking (CAMSAHT) is a student-led organization, with chapters in medical schools across the country. CAMSAHT has been developed in an effort to address the lack of education within the healthcare profession on the topic of human trafficking. CAMSAHT recognizes that the profile of human trafficking within Canada requires a diverse approach with input from researchers, healthcare professionals, organizations, and victims across Canada. We also recognize that many of those susceptible to human trafficking are those from already marginalized groups. Our aim is to increase awareness about this topic in medical students at Schulich through curriculum development, research, and workshops.
