Osler Society

Campus:
London and Windsor
Type:
Discussion & Awareness

Named after the pioneering Canadian physician, Dr. William Osler, the Osler Society is the history of medicine club at UWO. We learn about the roots of modern medicine and discuss historical perspectives on major issues facing the profession today. If that sounds heavy and dull, don't worry - it's not at all! This group has a very relaxed atmosphere, and we welcome everyone. Even the elusive 3rd and 4th year students come out to our meetings! We get together every month or so to discuss topics of historical interest - very informal. Students can also have the opportunity to attend the annual History of Medicine Days conference in Calgary and to present their history of medicine research at Western's History of Medicine Colloquium. We would love for you to join!
